This is where we produce, rehearse, record, construct our instruments and learn about each other's art and culture. We cook, we eat, we laugh, stay in and live as a family.
The residency includes accommodation for 16 and more people, a rehearsing space, instrument construction and a professional recording studio. The residency is located in a semi-rural area on the outskirt of Maputo. The focus of our support is enabling research and documentation of an older generation of traditional musicians and their sounds, music creation and studio-technical workshop for musicians from the region and the circulation of new music coming out of those encounters.

Located in Matola, Mozambique, the residency offers a perfect balance between the proximity of the capital and an inevitable peace in an authentic area locally, in which the artistic ideas flow purely.
